Asurprisingly apt companion piece to Paths of Glory in its consideration of the mechanisms of power.December 28, 2010
Thrilling epic is too intense for the youngest.November 18, 2014
...a passable historical epic that has little in common with the rest of Kubrick's output...May 09, 2002
It is a spotty, uneven drama.May 08, 2007
This may be the most literate of all the spectacles set in antiquity.January 01, 2000
