The Deuce - Season 3
In the third season, Candy and Harvey travels to Las Vegas for the Adult Film Conference. The issue deals with the interest of some, especially in knowing how to navigate in a rapidly changing and fast-moving future from one stage to another. Meanwhile, Laurie returns to work, and Alston makes a specific request from Goldman where he tries to activate Midtown. Loretta may be trying to be an active member of Women Against Pornography.

It's a great show about work, about the place of the individual within history, and most of all, about the faceless indomitability of money over human affairs.September 07, 2019
The show's third and final season struggles to consistently build gripping stories for its characters to inhabit.September 09, 2019
In the end, HBO and the rest of the world at large has once again benefited from handing David Simon and friends a blank check. The Deuce has always had a way of capturing the way life is and the way it should be simultaneously.September 09, 2019
The Deuce is not a series that hints at many upbeat endings, but from the initial view into its final walk, there's real reason to hope that at the end of all her struggling, Candy's goodbye kiss will be a sweet one.September 06, 2019
This final, lovely season won't gloss over the nasty, cruel, and devastating parts of the sex industry, but it does let us soak in the finely-aged relationships between its note-perfect characters as they're paved over for new hotels.September 09, 2019
World-building is a topic that tends to come up with science-fiction sagas or fantasy epics, but "The Deuce" is one of the most impressive examples in recent memory.September 06, 2019
The last eight episodes of the David Simon and George Pelecanos created skin-trade ensemble drama, at least from what I've seen, has a lot of that... high wire craftsmanship and heart that's been beating strong from the very beginning.
